When they start a no-strings affair, getting involved is the last
thing District Attorney Tom McMillian and DA’s Investigator Celia
St. John intend. Complicating matters are Celia’s investigation of
an illegal baby ring and the murder of Tom’s former lover. As Celia
and Tom delve into the truth and lies beneath the surface of
small-town Chandler County, Georgia, both their burgeoning
relationship and Celia’s life are endangered.
